Taj Hotel & Convention Centre, Agra

Location is about a 10-minute drive to the Taj Mahal and fort. Hotel room was very spacious and clean all over. There was no shortage of any facilities. Very comfortable The gym was very good with a variety of machines and free weight areas and areas for yoga. Food was excellent. I would consider including dinner when booking as there are only small road side cafes walking distance. Buffet service with a huge variety of veg and non veg food. What struct me most was the attentive of the staff they definitely wanted you have a good experience from the door service to reception and the restaurants. But even where they saw you they stopped to say hello and ask if you needed help. Very impressive.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Taj Mahal and a New Year’s Eve gala dinner, and we were not disappointed. The rooms are spacious, perfect for three people (we traveled with a family of six and booked two adjacent rooms). Breakfast offered a rich variety of options, catering to all tastes. As expected from Taj, everything was at a high level. The New Year’s gala dinner was fantastic, with lots of delicious food and fun.

We were half board; the dinner and breakfast buffet were really good, wide selection of Indian and European foods, fresh fruits and masala chai, really good. The rooms were comfortable, and swimming in the pool with a view of the Taj Mahal was incredible, we had ice coffee in the sunshine, it was perfect. Then it was a close walk to the buses that take tourists down to the Taj Mahal, so good location. A very grand lobby and helpful staff, who organised a tour of Taj Mahal, and anything we need, will definitely stay here again.

The Taj Hotel in Agra exceeded all my expectations, especially with its incredible food offerings. As someone with selective eating habits, I was thoroughly impressed by the variety and quality of the meals – everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were exceptionally friendly, kind, and welcoming, making the environment feel both comfortable and safe. The rooftop offers a view of the Taj Mahal, great for sunrise, and in the evenings, it’s the perfect cozy spot to unwind after dinner. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Agra.

- You can see the Taj Mahal from the swimming pool - very close to the Taj Mahal - staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Two examples: we didn't realise our room included dinner and we went to the restaurant. We were told the buffet was included so double check if we still wanted to eat in the restaurant. We would not have known without being told, so this saved quite a bit of money! The valets helped by talking on the phone with a taxi we had booked. Both things took initiative and meant they went out of their way for us - buffet was good quality with variety
